ladlon 10 Posted September 18, 2010 I recently purchased Operation Arrowhead, after having a great time this year with Arma2. One thing I noticed, and I'm sure there's something I'm missing here,... my squadmates seem completely braindead. For one thing, it seems they are very slow to recognize enemies, and even slower (if not completely resistant) to actually doing anything about it. I just played a session (Cypher, Operation Arrowhead version) where two enemy soldiers drove right up to us in a car as I had my squad standing around by the supply crate and vehicals at the start of the session, right after drop off. My squad announced the enemy (who was literally 10 feet from them... my sniper was literally 3 feet from the one enemy guy), and they just stood there, doing nothing as the enemy fired on us. I had the enemy skill level realy low, so they were firing at us for quite some time (from 10 feet away), yet my guys didn't do anything! I noticed this when playing the MyMission mission creator in OA as well... My guys would get killed by the enemy rather fast. What's weird is, I found the opposite with vanilla Arma2... I was impressed how well my team handled things, spotting and taking out enemies very well. Only when I installed Operation Arrowhead, they are suddenly really inactive and bad. They DO sometimes spot and kill enemies, so it's not like that's completely broken, but there seems to be a significant drop in their perceptiveness and skill. Wondering if this is a known thing, or if something may have installed wrong, etc. OA seems quite buggy, compared to Arma2. I still have to patch it up. I was previously patched up to 1.06, I think... but it almost seems like the OA install assumed I was at a lower version, and ended up seemingly patching it up to something less than I previously had! Just wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience, or if anyone has any ideas. Thanks...
ladlon 10 Posted September 19, 2010 BTW, are all the mods (AI, graphics, etc) compatible with OA (and the Arma2 that is now 'merged' with it)?
