Make the BAF IED's placeable in the editor

The IEDs that came with the BAF expansion. Make them placeable in the editor in the same way you can place EAST or WEST Mines. Maybe place them under the same category.

Number 4 for this! We can place mines, why not IEDs without having to script? Get an IED module, link the IED to the module, then the person to detonate it or have a module for just the IED to explode when someone enters within X meters of it by default then have is where you can alter with a simple like to change it *Shrugs*

An IED isn't a mine, but a satchel charge with different graphics and yield. We can't place satchels either. It's a user action bound to the user. So "just placing it" would achieve nothing.

Module might work, as long as you could resynchronize on respawn.

maybe pressure plate IEDs could solve this, make the big ones only explode when a vehicle runs over them, would be realistic and doesnt need a spotter so you you would be able to place em in the editor.

still just placing an RC-IED would be nice for scenarios.

OPFOR places IED where you want it, then he finds himself a look out point, and when Blufor is within about 10m of IED and is seen by OPFOR man, Boom. If you kill OPFOR triggerman first, IED is negated.

Placing an IED would be nice in editor, but it definitely needs a fairly powerful module (that you'd link up to say triggerman) with plenty of options to handle all the permutations (remote LOS detonation, promity detection, etc) to be viable, aka this:

Cant there just be a mine with the model of the large IED? Would make it nice to find an disarm it, or not and blow up your vehicle.

Those scripts are nice, been using them for a while now.
