StuG III recovery..

Recommended Posts

i always praise men who love history and spend their time recovering things

i am visiting many museums when i have time in weekend, big respect for those people and their passion

the more people with passion, the more i can see and visit in sundays :DDD

i love museums, old recovered equipment, history, big big thanx to any people, who recover old trucks, cars, tanks, apcs, guns, dishes, furniture, clothes, vasas, monuments, castles etc.

really appreciate such initiatives, thanx to such people we can visit such place and spend nice time watching historical things (from ancient Egypt, Rome, Greece to WW2)

really big thanx for anyone who make such things

i hope that one day i will have money to visit museums of tanks in other countries, planes, prototypes, German, Russian, English museums etc.

Oh, we got plenty of those in here.

Here's one standing in "parola armored museum"

Some of these were used in the film "Tali Ihantala" I think...

The film is bloody great btw...

:)

Nice! I keep meaning to see that film!

We do however have this rare beast in the UK which at present is the only one in the world that actually runs! (I've heard talk that the Tiger from the aberdeen proving grounds in the US will soon be a runner though) Heres me with the big cat at Bovington anyway :)

Indeedles, I don't like modern tanks as much as i like WW2 era ones, they seem to lack...soul. (plus, I <3 Russian clockwork tank sounds)

Wonder where the Stug is now.

The canadian "Tank overhaul" series featured some WW2 vehicle restorations, among them the restoration of a completely wrecked Panther, recovered from a riverbed in poland. Pretty impressive.

Type into google "the greatest Tank of WW2" and you will find that the IS2

was the greatest Tank of WW2, ever!

Ask anybody over at the RO forums!:war:
