Getting in there was a bit nasty. Roadway lods and GeoLods seem to be missing. Also I had many missing texture errors. But still, I am astonished by the texture and model quality.

Regarding the riddle I knew that proper caves and underground structures and the like aren't possible, so I just looked around the map screen for a suspicious formation of rocks, and found it. And I didn't even need to evade some giant rolling ball or Nazis driving British tanks. But I kept my Fedora on anyways. :)

I shall be declaring the name of my town soon. If I am allowed a humble amount of time to consider a suitable name.

But, since I'm quite familiar with how island design works and this may have given me a slight advantage in finding this structure, I am willing to pass on the reward to the next person who finds the "Tombe of Doom" after me.

Alright just played around with it and it looks magnificent, great atmosphere and great work all around. Can't wait till full release. I ran into a few geometry issues however, but it is still alpha. I took screen shots for you, so you can know what to fix if you aren't aware of it. Left some descriptions of the problems too. Hope I can help.

Damn only a few hours after its released and he find the tomb :butbut: Nice one Mondkalb, just PM me with the name or post it here when you decide, you can have s much time as you need and the town is yours. But I might have to make the name a tiny bit eastern European to fit in. Also thanks for making that multilayer texturing tutorial on BIS Wiki, I'm gonna be using it on some more buildings later on. :wink_o:

Nice work and congrats on the release. I took some screenshots hoping I could help and find some errors.

It seems like nearly every custom model is missing a finished geo lod. I was able to walk through almost all of the custom buildings except the school. I was also able to knock over many of the buildings in the city using a tank. The bank/office building at grid 154-158 is one of them.

Also, when I started my game I got an error. I was still able to press ok and start my game but it was very slow and buggy.

I tested the map while I was on teamspeak with a few of my buddies who were also testing it, we all had the same issues.

is anyone else having a problem driving on the main bridge? i am. i vehicle gets basicly stuck as soon as i get onto the main bridge. also, martin, did you actual start working on the interstate highway system i asked you to do, or are you just coming up with that yourself? either way i'm happy that you're sating to build one

Looking forward to this one and have been for a while. :) I can see theres plenty left for you to work on yet hehe, so its not as near as finished as I would have hoped.

Heres a few errors I ran into so far (ill update this post if theres more

Cannot load texture
"ca\buildings2\a_generalstore_01\data\generalstore_ext_001_dtsmdi.pa"

Maybe a typo as it says .pa instead of .paa i dont know

Cannot open object
"ca\buildings2\ind_workshop01\ind_workshop01_04.p3d"

Cannot load texture
"taviana\budovy\tex\\stropin01_co.paa"

Just downloaded both files without difficulty... except that MegaUpload just made my sh1t list. Clicking on the free download button results in a pop-up to some site called playpoker.com - WOT intercepted it with a full set of red warnings (privacy, child safety etc.).

Try again, first quick glance at the Island is amazing!

Congrats for such a great terrain release, nevertheless I am a bit confused about released version is it an Alpha v 0.1 or a Beta#1 ?

I would recommend using http://multiupload.com (multi mirror incl direct download) instead of megaupload directly
