1 MINUTE HOW-TO QUICK GUIDE

TADST v3.1.0
The Armed Assault series allows an amazing array of settings to freely customize dedicated servers.
This means you will have to edit quite a few config files to get it running the way you like.

TADST is a tool that will greatly simplify this. All you need to do is to choose the settings you like. Then the application will
create all necessary files according to your settings and start the server with the appropriate arguments.

All necessary files will be created in a folder called 'TADST'.
You can save different profiles to easily switch between server setups.

In the folder TADST a new folder for each profile will be created.
This folder contains all files associated to the profile.

INSTALLATION
=============

Copy the file 'TADST.exe' to your Arma game folder.

* Note that it's important that the file is in the game root folder
i.e. C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3

* If you are upgrading from an earlier version of TADST you should delete
your old TADST folder so the program can create new settings files.

You also need to have .NET installed.

QUICK START
=============

  • Set up your firewall.
    To run a dedicated server you must make sure you have set port forwarding correctly in your firewall/router.
    Normally you need the ports 2302-2305 to be open. Click the port info button to get info on your selected ports.
  • Set Server Name and Server File
    TADST is set to start the server with default settings so the only two things you need to set to get a server up and running is Server Name and Server File.
    If you double click the text fields, TADST will try and set appropriate values.

FUTURE PLANS
=============

  • Options for allowedFileExtensions, allowedPreprocessFileExtensions, allowedHTMLLoadExtensions, allowedHTMLLoadURIs
  • Options to launch headless clients
  • Steam server update thingy
  • Individual difficulty settings on missions
  • System for setting Mission Parameters.
  • Start as service.
  • Process monitoring, restart server on crash.
  • Remote server/client protocol (probably wont't happen, but hey)

SUPPORT TADST
==================

I'm doing this for fun and for love to the community, but if you like TADST you can support me by donating some coffee-money.
You can also follow my music project Meadows on facebook. That would make me equally happy!

Hi Thope!

I use this program for a long time. But now with the Workshop i have a little problem! When i need to add a mod, it's ok but when they are several it's painfull, because we have to make the same clicks on the file explorer to go to the workshop folder and select the mod!
My request it's if you could add an adress bar when adding a mod, so we can paste the path on it and go directly to the workshop folder!?
Thank you!

Question , I am running ACRE2 on my server and intend on using TADST . in order to use ACRE2 on a sever I have to allow b64 file extensions. Where would I add these in TADST?

enable // FILE EXTENSIONS
allowedLoadFileExtensions[] =       {"b64",
allowedPreprocessFileExtensions[] = {"b64",

Thank you in advance for any help

Hello everyone, I have a problem when I use TADST, the server name does not appear in searches. I can only connect via the server IP. Once connected, there appears on recent servers.

Then check your internet browser settings because i have no issues with it, the window pops up asking me to save.

If i have to i will host the file myself, but check your settings first.

As 1 of the first post said, we need to have a MoD browser, as for now when selecting the !Workshop it seems to load all the mods you have there and that's a disaster, tried to do a manually mods= but it never seem to load.

"You can drag and drop everything in the workshop folder into the tadst mod interface"
Found that solution on reddit so you don't have to do drill down to add each one individually. You can even highlight a bunch and drag them over. Verified it  works.
I wish I found this years ago lol

I'm using TADST again to test some things and I can see the server in my browser but for some reason I can't see the mission nor mods. Is this to do with the fact that "steamProtocolMaxDataSize = xxxx" isn't in the server.cfg? There's no place for me to enter this in the tool and you can't edit the server.cfg as changes will be overwritten.

Hey guys. I seem to check in here with some years apart. I'm so sorry for kind of abandoning this software. I will try to get back to it fairly soon, and then maybe try to release it on Steam Workshop too.

But just o check in and see what's up. Is this program still in use these days? I haven't played Arma for years, so I don't know what's happening on the scene now.
