deselecting yourself/ai/tank/plane etc

How do I deselect myself/plane/ai from a group again, I want these to be independant and not connected to a group, I used to know but forgot, you hold shift and click on line and move away or something? thanks

In the editor? Press F2 for Groups, then click on yourself and drag away to nothing.
