What are the most important sounds for you while using JSRS?

    • The weapon sounds!
    • The vehicle sounds!
    • Environmental sounds!
    • Explosions, Soniccracks, Bullethits, the sound of danger!
    • The script features like the "distance sounds"!
    • Everything combined! The whole Mod itself is important.

Anyways, to business... ive been going over your sound files the whole week! and ive found something your missing, remember how everyone (including me) moaned at you about making the explosion sounds more louder and sounding more dangerous? well, something that you havent got is this:

(ArmA2: OA Real SoundMod) it needs that thud! lol

I second that..i've watched the video and wanted that soundmod but the guy who uploaded the video said it wasn't available anymore.

Anyway I hope you understand this is a suggestion and not mandatory.

The vehicle ammo issue is becoming more of a problem. Mando's missiles isn't working correctly now. I'm finding more and more vehicles with no ammo in them.

Hey Zuff, please try playing without WarFX and see if it fixes the issue.

Ok found out some new stuff.

Joining without WarFX files allows Bon's construction stuff to work again. The A-10's and other various vehicles STILL don't have correct ammunition. So I guess WarFX and JSRS conflict in the "construction" menu aspect of the mission, but that's about it.

Didn't test with Mando yet, I'm putting that on the back burner for now until I can get this problem fixed first.

Wait a second, are you folks talking about Bon's mission? I'm running WarFX with JSRS and I can build anything, and get ammo in my vehicles.

Oh boy. Looks like I may need to do some more testing.

Any chance the m230 dependency can be removed soon?

Well. I don't have this error with the M230 too and have no idea why this is. And this error with the A10 without loadout is maybe causing by the FFAR, or the Gau8B. Just try without this both files and we will see.

So, I did alot today to fix some of the last errors and was preparing the mod for RC 1.3 FULL.

I reworked these configs:

AH64D (AH64 and AH64E are now in ONE file)

UH1

UH1H

Mh60

AH6J

KA52

Mi17

Mi24

CH47

(All Helios to fit more together and make the soundrange a bit lower)

Reworked other stuff

All Environment backgrounds to fit more together

M1A1 (Total)

LAV cfg (the sounds too)

AAVP cfg (some sounds)

Bradly cfg (the sounds too)

Stryker cfg (New Idle sound)

T90 cfg

Shilke (NEW)

Some of the errors I fixed:

12gauge slug Saige bullethit fix

AN2 Jet sound of distance fix

Houses and Villages missing background sound fix

C130/C130E same entry fix

Mi17/KA52 same entry fix

A10 volume fix

Sea missing background sound fix

Added/New Stuff:

Kord HMGun

(I will try to make more placeholders and add vehicleweapons like:)

AGS

Arkan

Konkurs

Tunguska

and vehicles like

BTR40/60/90

BRDM

GAZ

ATV

Lada

At all, 1.3 will be BIG! But I now using just already existing sounds for editing as placeholder and will rework them abit, so we'll see what this is all about in some days.

And as I said, try to play without FFAR, Gau8B and M230 for the first when these file causing trouble. I have no idea why. So I cannot fix this :(

Hell yah Jarhead! Great updates, looking forward to them.

Not sure if this has to do with JSRS or with Lingor Island:

In some of the sand/dirt textures, walking on them sounds like you're sloshing through water.

You sure it's not just wet mud or even scummy water?

It could be, but the sound is like walking in shallow water, not mud sloshing.

Very nice video!

The only thing I noticed in the whole video (and I think the only thing that the mod needs to be perfect, apart from bug fixes) was that explosions and shots fired from a distance need to have a lot more bass as someone already suggested.

LJ a little question I asked before:

when a c-130 does a flyby you hear the sound of a fighter jet flyby.

Or even when you listen to the exterior while flying.

Is this known to you?

no rush at all..just asking ;)

Jarhead has stated that the jet flyby sound is included in the game's two prop planes. Should be fixed at some point.

I've just updated J.S.R.S in the last few minutes (Never updated it before), I absolutely love this sound mod! Thank you for spending your own time to work on this. :D

Hey Guys,

thanks for you nice words at all!

Ya the C130 (and AN2) has an jet flyby wind sound because of being a placeholder and its already fixed to more fitting propeller plane and C130 distance sound.

And before I forget: I have to money in the distance sounds! If I want to change the distance sounding, I had to do this directly on the sound samples themselves. Means: I would have to change the weapons sound and would had to make more bass into them, but this would change the whole sound at all. Ok, on ACCN I could do this, they are all a bit low.

But fist I want to finish JSRS this weekend and than I can fully concentrate on ACCN and other stuff ;)
