ucp pattern on the groin guard is about 2x to big, also looks like its plastic

Very nice beta fox! Like the way they're goin. It's a little funny to play as the grenadier(I think) and not have any model, :D. Can't wait on final release.

I like these units...but they all feel a bit the same...

In pictures, alot of times you see US Army soldiers with sometimes a tan rigging or some sort of light "vest" with alot of pouches over their main vest. Something like that would be cool.

The helmets look kind weird and out of place.

All other issues I noticed, I already told you

that vest texture is waaaaay to flat, needs some actual depth and life, also those straps (iirc) are molle straps, there actual peices of fabric, therefor u should be adding a diff peice of ucp texture for them, not just darkening that part, also simply use the burn tool at like 25% to make some wrinkles and what not. just look really flat and bland atm. but keep trying.

I usually start with the normals. Making all molle straps and stuff first as normals then you can move to the fun part and start making textures.

And as Rhodesy77 said about the UCP molle. Here the Polygonal Lasso tool & Clone stamp is your friend :) (PHOTOSHOP)
