They are additions, not engine changes.

That's why I only give .05 point. I should also had mentioned Gold and Queen's Gambit.

And RR removes things so it's not really an advancement.

I don't know, if I had never heard of the original OFP and BIS, only owned a Xbox 360, and had a huge craving for a slightly-more-realistic-than-usual console game, I'd probably think it was the best game on the platform too.

Thankfully I know the truth. :p

If you think that's insane, look at the first post of the next page. The first time I've ever seen a tiny number of players mentioned as a Pro rather than a Con ...

Although, with all of the limitations and removed features being talked about as if they were an improvement, I can understand that way of thinking.

Only in L4D 4 players were essential, you actually needed your team mates to get you out of jams and there was rarely a case that you could get through the level without the assistance of another character even if AI.

We haven't seen any examples of this in RR.

That being nihilism and impending doom?

To be honest, 4 actually makes some sense on consoles. You can play with 4 People one console, right? But limiting it on only four is a really stupid thing for such an game. (Especially if you remember the true OFP: CWC and how many players it could handle, does anyone need more proof that this game is not a real sucessor?)

I think we're way past the "true OFP successor" question here. DR wasn't and RR most certainly won't be. Graphics aside, the original OFP is superior to those games in every way.

We should make a new thread with a poll of how long CM will support RR with DLC, I'm more than willing to put up a new version of Arma2:OA as a prize!

Closest guess wins, all in good sport etc :)

You can even argue in favor of OFP's graphics. OFP's graphics might look outdated now, but they are still far more functional and true to life (if someone is seeing that much blur and colorblindness (everything turning into a shade of gray/brown), specialist care needs to be consulted). DR and RR look the way they do to hide the bad graphics job CM did on them, and that is not even taking into account the outdated graphics that are a limitation of the console's hardware. That's why so many "modern" games look blurred and have color filters, to hide the fact that the graphics are subpar because of the ancient hardware that is in consoles.

Ditto. The german translation is truly abysmal.

Woah, when i saw this trailer i instantly remembered this line from Wikipedia:

On X-Play's "Gphoria" awards show, one of the categories was "Game Most Deserving of an Uwe Boll Adaptation."

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uwe_Boll

Well, i think we have a winner. :D

The terrain, US base, imo, looks really nice. And the village is much better than random-like Takistan villages

Jesus, this is a lot worse than I expected it to be. All this swearing, and the german localisation is just terrible....

EDIT: Did you hear the ROE? Shoot everyone who looks like he might have an AK, a radio or even a cellphone......

Jesus...

'Ja - STAFF SERGEANT!!1!'

More Tommy Wiseau than Uwe Boll.

Notice the handy explanation as to why there are no civilians in the village. They should have broken the fourth-wall and made a meta-joke about their budget for the game being too small. Perhaps the next seven-minute cut scene will explain why it never rains in TakiTajikistan.

Also, the choice of music is clearly aimed at 13 year olds.
