CBA: Community Base Addons for A2, OA and CO

Hi,

that's always easy to say .. disabling certain or all mods would mean disabling basicly everything in the mission. I see the importance of clearing errors but on the other side I'm willing to except minor issues if there's no time to fix them. I'm working 50-60 hours per week all across europe, family matters on the weekend so I've got only some minutes for ArmA.

It takes a few minutes to search for nil = in your OA/A2 folder...

Beside that, it does also break BIS stuff!

Perhaps we could ask sbsMac to whip up a tool that takes care of finding the nil = in a very easy fashion?

However, even built-in windows search, searching all files in arma folder, and mission folder, should even show it as well.

Search for nil= and nil = should hit pretty soon.

+1 to Sickboy's idea. Something to detect mis-use of globals would be good idea.

<cough> Try typing "nil=1;" into the scratch window in squint ;-) In fact, squint will catch attempts to assign to _any_ reserved word.

when i start up Ace with cba it says this

cba_extended_eventhandlers script error so it shuts down the game after that error

i try to delete all of CBA then restall it with the newest one but still no luck

This happens when you have CBA started twice or you didnt have start it at all.

I have a problem. If I have CBA enabled I get an error about a missing script file, UAV.sqf. Is there a way I can fix this? Or am I just stupid and it's some other mod?

I turned off all my mods and then I enabled them one by one and and went into the editor and placed an uav module there, because I knew that triggers the notice. The error only comes with CBA.

It kinda sucks that I can't play the campaign missions with UAVs in the properly with CBA turned on, and I don't want to turn it off either because then I can't use ACE :(

I believe you will find putting this file in @CBA_A2\Addons, overwriting the current file, your problems will have disappeared :-)

CBA 0.7 signed hotfix released, re 1.56 changes.

Available on Six Updater, as well as packed it up for those who need it (Hope to create an official 0.7.1 release soon!).

SickBoy (et. al.), how will the 1.56 patch hotfix interact with the 0.7.1 pre-release / beta / whatever version you posted on the 26th?

is this CBA fix also for lite?

If you use CBA with OA v1.56(today's patch) than yes. Lite is the patch.

Please can someone check the following:

it seems to me that CBA messes the MP armory missions up. The following behaviours i could note with CBA (dedicated & hosted):

- Object placements is executed after mission start and very slow (without CBA, loaded and placed before mission start)

- Looking at infostands does not open info resource of relevant object (nothing happens at all)

- at infostands, selecting item doesn't have any effect.

- Armory relevant action menu is completely missing.

This has been tested on the Coop 08 Armory on Chernarus aswell as on Takistan. Both dedicated and self hosted game shows the same behaviour.

Self hosted game without CBA works as expected.

Please can someone confirm this? Or tell me what i'm doing wrong?
